We have a new clinic available on specific Saturday's of each month with Animal Dental Care, Inc. This clinic features a specially trained veterinarian and their dental technicians. They are able to do a thorough cleaning above and below the gum lines using a 7 step process.. They use gentle holds and lots of tender care while cleaning without anesthesia. They also include a full examination of your pet prior to the cleaning to make sure that your dog does not require antibiotics prior to their cleaning. This is important in older or medically more fragile pets. If they are unable to clean your pet's teeth for any reason, they will not charge you for the visit.
Cost is $155 for the intial cleaning and exam, with maintenance options starting at $24 per month. They will administer a low cost antibiotic only as necessary if a heart murmur is known or noted, if there is significant dental disease, or your pet has kidney problems.. This works the same as human beings- that's why your dentist will always ask if you have any heart murmurs or kidney disease. Antibiotics will cost between $20-$55 depending on the size of your dog. If they feel a dog's teeth require a deep cleaining or removal of teeth they will refer you to your own veterinarian for care. If you know your dog will need antibiotics, you are welcome to get these from your regular vet and bring them in! Our owner, Becky, had her greyhound and one of her kitties' teeth cleaned by this same company up in Seattle! They were great!
